With only a few hours left until Wrestle Kingdom 13 kicks off, live from the Tokyo Dome, the one major question left unanswered is the future of the man currently holding the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, Kenny Omega.
According to Dave Meltzer via today’s Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE has once again made a “fantastic” offer to the so-called Best Bout Machine, whose current contract with New Japan Pro-Wrestling expires at the end of this month.
One source close to the situation also confirmed this information to ProWrestling.com late this afternoon, and included that the offer was “even more substantial” than the contracts offered to Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks by WWE, which were reportedly seven-figure deals per year.
This puts Omega in a position where, in less than one month, he may be the hottest free agent on the planet. With a multi-million dollar on the table from WWE, New Japan Pro-Wrestling likely to offer him a major sum to renew his contract with them, and All Elite Wrestling obviously in play, he will certainly have options.

The other question is how the working relationship between NJPW, ROH and AEW unfolds as things progress. NJPW and ROH have a long-lasting relationship and the upcoming Madison Square Garden show to consider. The AEW top guys will not be working for ROH and have already stated they won’t be at The Garden.
