WWE Live Event Results (2/12/15) – Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (Night One)

Thanks to rajah.com reader Graham Caygill of The National for sending this in:

Here is the news as promised from first night in Abu Dhabi at the Tennis Stadium at Zayed Sports City.

We have a longer, marginally more detailed report online here with one photo for now – hopefully more to come later – if you could link to us here that would be great, click HERE.

Good crowd for opening night in Abu Dhabi – lots of Emirati children in John Cena attire.

Dean Ambrose defeated Luke Harper by pinfall
Ambrose got big pop from crowd and this was a good hard-hitting bout.

Jack Swagger defeated Tyson Kidd won by submission
Swagger won with the ankle lock submission after reversing a roll up attempt.

Bo Dallas defeated Curtis Axel by pinfall
Bo Dallas was the face here, largely by not doing much and standing up to Curtis Axel, who continued his Royal Rumble moans. Dallas won with a roll-up in a very quick match.

Ryback defeated Curtis Axel by pinfall
Axel made an open challenge on mic in attempt to avenge Bo Dallas loss, but instead got pummelled by Ryback, losing in less than 60 seconds. Not a good night for Axel, though had to be said he was entrained on the mic and his “often imitated, never eliminated” line did get a laugh.

Dolph Ziggler won by disqualification against Bad News Barrett in an Intercontinental title bout
Barrett clocked Ziggler with the title belt, although Ziggler hit the Zig Zag subsequently to have the last laugh.

Rusev defeated Erick Rowan by submission to retain his United States title
Rusev won with The Accolade in a largely flat encounter.

Kofi Kingston and Big E defeated Goldust and Stardust by pinfall
More miscommunication between the Dust brothers, as Stardust kicked Goldust by accident, led to victory for the New Day.

John Cena defeated Seth Rollins in an Abu Dhabi Street Fight by pinfall
Both men kicked out of each other’s finishers in an entertaining match, helped by the crowd going nuts for Cena. He was crazy over. Cena won
when he gave Rollins a second Attitude Adjustment from the top rope through a table to get the pin.
