The opening video recapped last week’s Captain’s Challenge match, since that was literally the entire episode last week.
Drake Maverick announced that the survivors of the Captain’s Challenge, Humberto Carrillo and Oney Lorcan, will face each other tonight with the winner becoming #1 contender to the Cruiserweight Championship at Clash of Champions.
Match #1 – Ariya Daivari def. Kalisto
Daivari controlled a lot of the action with Kalisto rallying back at the end to hit a hurricanrana from the apron, and even a 450 splash for a nearfall. He set up for Salida del Sol but Daivari took a cheap shot and went after his eyes, then turned him out with a ripcord lariat to win.
The Singh Brothers inform us that they are going away to watch their old matches, figure out where they went wrong, and come back a better team to take over 205 Live.
Match #2 – Humberto Carrillo def. Oney Lorcan to become the new #1 contender to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship
Drew Gulak cut a promo on the tron to close the show, reminding Humberto that he was his teacher, and he will teach him all about pain at Clash of Champions. Gulak is the law of 205 Live.
