According to ABC News, UFC star Conor McGregor pleaded guilty today to a misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct stemming from an incident during which McGregor tossed a dolly through the window of a bus full of MMA fighters during the UFC 223 press conference at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NYC.
In exchange for the guilty plea, the New York Attorney General dropped the felony charge against McGregor, and the judge sentenced the star to community service and anger management. Additionally, McGregor will serve no jail time and will have no criminal record stemming from the incident.
ESPN furthers that orders of protection also were given for MMA fighters Ray Borg, Jason Ledbetter and Michael Chiesa, as McGregor was ordered by the court not to go near the fighters, who were all involved in the NYC bus incident.
Following the judge’s ruling, McGregor had the following to say on the outcome of the case:
“I just want to say I’m thankful to the DA and the judge for allowing me to move forward. I want to say to my friends, my family, my fans, thank you for the support.”
