As reported by Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE currently has two top matches pencilled in to headline this year’s WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans.
According to the report, Brock Lesnar vs Roman Reigns and John Cena vs The Undertaker are both expected to take place this April and will likely be the main event matches. No word on whether Reigns will win the upcoming Royal Rumble match qualify for his spot on the WrestleMania card, but either way the plan is for him to end up facing Lesnar at the annual event, which has been rumored and speculated on for some time now.
Fans haven’t seen The Undertaker since his defeat at the hands of Roman Reigns at last year’s WrestleMania 33. Leading speculation is that the Deadman will plant the seeds for a bout with John Cena on the upcoming Raw 25th Anniversary special, where he is scheduled to appear as a major returning legend. Undertaker was featured on the very first episode of Monday Night Raw back in 1993.
Of course these are just the latest reports as we head into what will surely be a busy and chaotic WrestleMania season. As always the card is subject to change and it’s always important to keep in mind that plans can change at the drop of a dime.
