It is well-documented that The Miz was a star of MTV’s Real World reality series prior to joining WWE. It was announced recently that former MTV star The Miz is going to be returning to the station very soon. The current Intercontinental Champion is being brought on as the host of ‘The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars’ for the entirety of the season. Former WWE Superstar Ariane “Cameron” Andrew is also set to join the upcoming season as well to compete for the Black Girls Rock charity. MTV put out a statement yesterday confirming the news that The Miz would be hosting the show, and it is set to premiere on November 21st.
It appears that WWE is set to begin adding some of the most earliest episodes of NXT to the WWE Network. A new report from PWInsider claims that the company will be uploading the old episodes very soon. Originally, the company had planned on uploading episodes of WCW Thunder and Sunday Night Heat, but chose not to due to the lawsuit over royalties brought forth by Buff Bagwell and Raven. Instead, the NXT episodes from 2010, back when the series was merely a reality competition, will be added to the network in the upcoming weeks. No confirmed date as to when to expect the shows to be added was announced in the report.
As we all know by now, Kairi Sane won the right to challenge for the NXT Women’s Championship after she won the Mae Young Classic tournament. It was later announced that Sane will be part of a Fatal 4-Way match at NXT Takeover: War Games for the title. The rest of the participants have been confirmed as the NXT shows are taped weeks in advance. However, on last night’s NXT show, Peyton Royce defeated Nikki Cross and Liv Morgan to earn her spot in the match with Sane. The winner of the 4-Way match in Houston will determine the new NXT Women’s Champion, a title which was previously held by Asuka before she vacated it a few months ago.
