Swift has been knocked in the past for failing to use her platform to speak out about issues, but, as she wrote on Instagram, she feels she can no longer stay silent. “In the past I’ve been reluctant to publicly voice my political opinions, but due to several events in my life and in the world in the past two years, I feel very differently about that now,” she posted.
Looks like she’s sticking to that promise.
