— Two more wrestlers that have been gone for a while, but were backstage at TV this week include Candice Michelle and DH Smith. They were backstage at The Great American Bash on Sunday as they were spotted at the hotel everyone in the company was staying at. You can read a fan’s encounter with a number of WWE stars at the Garden City Hotel in Long Island at this link. Candice Michelle should be back after SummerSlam. DH Smith is healthy, but it appears that WWE doesn’t have anything for him at the moment. He’s been off the road since the first week of May.
— The WWE Mobile service has an “After The Bell” video of Mike Knox getting into a scuffle with Finlay backstage. On Tuesday’s edition of ECW, they aired a Mike Knox video package, so it looks like he’s in line for a more distinct role in the company. Knox has been directionless for the most part since the conclusion of his program with Kelly Kelly in December 2006.
