It appears that WWE is already starting to transition into their upcoming brand extension.
On Monday’s RAW, Dean Ambrose was referred to as WWE Champion multiple times, as opposed to WWE World Heavyweight Champion, something that WWE has been very strict about in the past. The change has also been made on the official WWE website.
As noted, there are reports that WWE will have two world champions, one for RAW and one for SmackDown, when the brand is split into two at the WWE Draft.
The WWE Draft is scheduled to take place on the first live weekly Tuesday edition of WWE SmackDown on July 19, 2016.
