As reported on Tuesday afternoon via Dave Meltzer and F4WOnline.com, WWE and Bill Goldberg are reportedly back in “serious talks,” if not done already making a deal to bring the former Attitude Era mega-star back to the WWE Universe.
In an update, WWE Hall Of Famer Jim Ross noted via social media that he has heard talk that that Bill Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar in the former WCW stars’ return program is a “done deal,” and is expected to go down at the WWE Survivor Series pay-per-view in November.
The Goldberg-Lesnar match in that scenario would be one of the featured matches, if not the actual main event, for what will be the second joint-brand WWE pay-per-view event following the latest WWE Draft / brand extension. The first was WWE SummerSlam back in August.
“Another source says that Goldberg vs. BrockLesnar is a done deal and that it will likely go down at Survivor Series,” wrote the WWE Hall Of Famer on his official Twitter page on Tuesday. “If true, bravo WWE.”
