Sporting Director Florian Maurice has turned his attention to the Englishman after being knocked back in efforts to sign Mohammed Salisu (Southampton) and Benoît Badiashile (AS Monaco). SRFC intend to sign both a right-footed and left-footed central defender this summer, with talks also ongoing with Dijon for Nayef Aguerd.
Talks for Tomori are at the very initial stages, to the point where it has yet to even be discerned whether any deal between Rennes and Chelsea would be able to take place on a permanent basis, or whether it would more likely be a loan.
