Thanks to Kenny Brazan for the following:
I was in attendance this week’s WWE/ECW taping in the New Orleans arena, in the great state of Louisiana.
The arena was about 50% full with the upper deck covered with a black tarp and there was one area exposed opposite the TV cameras. The crowd was really quiet and not into the matches all night it was sad to see.
All of the matches were pretty plane with not much excitement. The bad thing was that the big names wrestlers did not even wrestle. Everything was a great preview for The Great American Bash.
Its sad because I was in that same building in 2003 for a Sunday Night Heat and SmackDown taping and the arena was sold out with about 17,000 in attendance, this week I would say there was about 7,500. Has wrestling going down that bad in the last couple of years?
