In an interview with El Larguero – transcribed in AS – Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio notably discussed Kylian Mbappé’s potential arrival at the club.
The French forward pushed for a move to Spain last summer, and with his contract expiring at the end of the campaign a move to La Liga remains a possibility, even if he has himself ruled out any talks before the two clubs face off in the Champions League.
“[On how Mbappé or Haaland’s arrival would affect him tactically] Well, first of all let’s see if they come… We’ll finish the season and then we’ll see. I’m concentrating on myself and what’s happening right now in the team. Real Madrid always brings in the best, and I’m ready to be with anyone and play here.”
“I would like to play with the best. Mbappé is a player who has shown a lot and is hoping to come here. If he comes, I would be delighted to share a dressing room with him and we would get on very well.”
