Update: The man, nicknamed as ‘Spiderman of Paris’ has now been named an honorary French citizen after meeting with the French president Emmanuel Macron. He met Macron at the Elysee Palace on Monday morning and was told that he would be made a naturalised citizen straight away. The president personally thanked the Gassama and gave him a medal for courage and said he would also be made a fireman.
