L’Équipe report today that Lille will not let go of Ivorian attacker Nicolas Pépé for less than €60m.
The newspaper claims that four major European sides are interested in making a move for the former Angers man, including Bayern Munich and Juventus, as are Manchester United.
However, the report indicates that the Red Devils were attracted to a move for Pépé mainly because José Mourinho was a big fan of the player, but now he has left, it is unclear whether or not Manchester United’s position will change.
LOSC want at least €60m to part with Pépé, who is happy in Lille, surrounded by his family and fully integrated in a squad that he loves. But nobody knows what his reaction would be if a European giant offered him an annual salary of between €3.5m to €4m.
Club president Gérard Lopez and Sporting Director Luis Campos have no intention of selling next month, Christophe Galtier, the club’s manager, even less so.
