According to Benjamin Quarez on France Bleu Paris that Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappé has let his intention known that he would like to try a striker partnership with young striker Hugo Ekitike (20). It was reported by the Le Parisien journalist on the Paris-based radio station that Ekitike has support within the PSG dressing room, and that the player knew what situation he was stepping into, competing against the high quality players at Christophe Galtier’s disposal – the 20 year-old is still however convinced that he will be able to make his mark at Paris Saint Germain.
Ekitiké has signed for the reigning Ligue 1 champions, initially on loan, with an option to buy. However, since arriving from Stade de Reims, he has struggled for minutes. Although he has featured in nine matches, he has only played 149 minutes of football. Manager Christophe Galtier revealed that the player wasn’t happy with his game time, and that he told the player it was partly his responsibility for his lack of minutes.
