Has Jennifer Lopez turned to Rihanna for inspiration?
After slipping into the singer’s look-at-me denim chaps that she designed in collaboration with Manolo Blahnik last May, Lopez is following in the Anti singer’s footsteps with a new collaborative shoe collection of her own: Giuseppe for Jennifer Lopez.
According to WWD, the 47-year-old Latin star and beloved shoe designer Giuseppe Zanotti have merged their creative powers to deliver a capsule shoe collection set to hit stores in January. “I’m very proud of the businesses I’ve built,” Lopez told WWD of her many projects, which include acting, singing, dancing, judging and producing reality TV shows, clothing lines, and fragrances. “They’ve allowed me to bring really great product at an accessible price point. But I hadn’t done a high-end project yet and this seemed like the right time, medium, and designer. I’ve always been passionate about shoes. Sometimes I even choose an outfit around my shoes.”
The duo reportedly began conceiving ideas in May after Zanotti made a trip to her “museum wardrobe.” So what can we expect? The line, which will include two handbags and retails from $795 to $1,995, is slated to include cage booties, high-top sneaker wedges, J.Lo-like gladiator boot sandals, sexy pointed toe pumps, and plenty of Swarovski crystals.

“It’s impossible not to feel like a more confident, sexier version of yourself when you’re wearing a pair of Zanottis. The shoes are so in line with my personal style, it felt easy and natural,” Lopez added.
