The Hardy Boyz are back in WWE after spending several years competing for Impact Wrestling. The brothers accomplished a lot during their time with the promotion, and they found success with the creation of the “Broken Universe” gimmick. WWE fans have gotten a taste of the gimmick with “Woken” Matt Hardy, but WrestlingDVDNetwork.com has just gotten a look at a new WWE DVD on The Hardy Boyz, which features footage from the original “Broken” gimmick used in Impact Wrestling. The website reports that ‘Twist of Fate: The Beat of the Hardy Boys’ comes out on April 30th, and the “Broken Universe” footage included in the DVD is watermarked by a logo for Impact’s Global Wrestling Network.
During WrestleMania weekend, a bizarre story broke about New Japan Pro Wrestling performer Harry Smith walking up to Jake “The Snake” Roberts while he was signing autographs at WrestleCon and then throwing a cup of hot coffee in the WWE Hall of Famer’s face. Smith challenged Roberts to a fight after he made negative comments about his father, “The British Bulldog” Davey Boy Smith. By the time that the police arrived, Smith had fled the scene. Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that Smith is currently wanted by New Orleans, Louisiana for battery. Simple battery in the state of Louisiana is punishable by up to 6 months in jail or with a fine of up to $1000.
WWE’s next big event is absolutely stacked with incredible matches. The Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia has the potential to be a fantastic show for WWE, and the company appears to be going all in for the show. One match previously announced for next Friday is a ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship between Seth Rollins, The Miz, Finn Balor, and Samoa Joe. However, PWInsider is noting that WWE may be altering the match a bit. It is expected that Raw Superstar Bobby Lashley will be added to the ladder match for the title. WWE has not officially announced Lashley’s involvement in the match, but confirmation will likely be arriving very soon.
