The French players’ union, the UNFP, have announced their nominees for their annual awards, which are recognised as the most prestigious for the football season in France.
The ceremony will take place on May 15. Last year’s player of the year award was won by Kylian Mbappé, with Monaco’s Aurélien Tchouaméni being named the young player of the year for the 2020-21 season.
Title-winning manager Christophe Galtier was the manager of the year, with Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema also retaining his 2019 title as the best Frenchman abroad.
