The 21st century has ushered in a new standard of model-turned-celebrity, which is made incredibly evident in Forbes’s 2016 list of top-earning models. The docket includes social media stars and actresses like Cara Delevigne (No. 7), Gigi Hadid (No. 5), and Kendall Jenner (No. 3). These days, we’re just as likely to be aware of who these successful models are dating as we are about the breadth of their campaigns.
This year’s rankings include several newcomers (Lily Aldridge, Jasmine Tookes, Taylor Hill, Barbara Palvin, etc.), as well as industry veterans like Gisele Bündchen, 36, who has consistently topped the list since 2002.
Forbes’s top earners are as follows: Gisele Bündchen at No. 1 ($30.5 million), Adriana Lima at No.2 ($10.5 million), Kendall Jenner and Karlie Kloss tied for No. 3 with yearly earnings of $10 million, and Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Gigi Hadid tied for No. 5 with yearly earnings of $9 million a piece.
