— It was reported a few weeks ago that former WWE star Dan “Waylon Mercy” Spivey was arrested for driving under the influence in Odess, Florida. He was later released on $500 bond. You can see Spivey’s mugshot and charge report at this link at the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office’s official website. After retiring from wrestling 1995 due to an injury, Spivey took up modeling. Through his now-defunct website, he was looking for modeling work as late as 2000.

The Cincinnati Enquirer has an article on former WWE star Rosey taking part in the ABC reality series Fat March. You can read the article at this link. In the show’s press release, Rosey claims that he’s competing in the march from Boston, MA to Washington, DC to lose weight because his girth is the reason why he was released by WWE last year. However, WWE thinks otherwise. A WWE representative told the newspaper that he was released because he had “a limited skill set as a performer, and he was not a fan favorite. He didn’t connect with the audience.” The representative also noted that WWE applauds him for wanting to lose the weight and said, “If he becomes a better performer, and does more training, that’s the scenario we’ve reinstated people for before.”

— The theme for WWE 24/7 in September will be yet another International theme. SummerSlam ’94 will air sometime later this month on WWE 24/7.
