WWE Raw and SmackDown Live commentator, Corey Graves was full of praise for a top WWE NXT Superstar last night during Halftime Heat.
Graves was clearly impressed by the performance of The Velveteen Dream during the Halftime Heat six-man tag team match, questioning why he isn’t on either Raw or SmackDown yet.
However, the commentator was then bombarded with messages about why The Dream hasn’t been called up, so he put on a sarcastic message saying that the internet has a strange way of turning a positive into a negative, eventually apologizing to The Dream for talking about how talented he is.
Tell me again why @VelveteenWWE isn’t on #RAW or #SDLive yet?#HalftimeHeat

Wow. The internet sure has an amazing way of turning a compliment into something negative.
I shouldn’t be surprised, but for some reason, I still am.

Dear @VelveteenWWE,
I apologize. You should NEVER aspire to take your talents to the global stage, or the money that comes with it.
The internet has taught me that it’s bad for you.
Sincere apologies,

I have spent a great deal of time learning to remove unnecessary negativity from my life, lately. And I’ve fallen back into it with Twitter. The fault is mine, and I know how to solve it.
So, I bid you all adieu. 😘 (Feel free to fight amongst yourselves.) pic.twitter.com/8aU8JhqTt0
