The Alternative Press has announced that former WWE Superstar CM Punk will be appearing at the first annual AP Music Awards on Monday, July 21st. The show is presented by Gibson and takes place at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio.
CM Punk will serve as the red carpet host as the event and will be joining co-host Juliet Simms as they interview celebrities on the red carpet pre-show. Punk said this about his role at the show:
“Well, I’m actually stoked to get out of the house and get gussied up for the first-ever Gibson Brands AP Music Awards, fueled by Monster Energy Drink. Red carpets and me don’t mix, so I figure it’ll be a perfectly hilarious night with friends and a live microphone—my favorite! Be there and be square!”
Legendary guitarist Slash will be presented with the first Guitar Legend Award.
The show will air live on AXS TV head-to-head with WWE RAW.
