Along with Michael Cole, Booker T and Corey Graves served as the commentary team for Monday Night Raw until Booker was replaced by the returning Jonathan Coachman on last Monday’s Raw. While Booker and Corey would bicker often, it all seemed to be part of the show. Booker addressed his departure from the announce table recently. He is now blaming a Corey for costing him his spot as an announcer on Raw. During his Heated Conversations podcast, Booker claimed that he took his clashes with Graves on Raw personally. In fact, the WWE Hall of Famer even went as far as to insinuate that there were officials behind the scenes in WWE who feared that Booker would end up fighting Corey Graves.
Booker T said that Graves is a tremendous announcer with a unique “vernacular,” but he then claimed that he would fight him if he ever saw him in the street. Booker also says that WWE officials were so worried about what he would have done to Graves if their fighting on the air continued any longer. He said that Graves is the reason why he is no longer announcing for Raw, also adding that WWE officials relegated him to announcing for the kickoff shows before pay-per-views. He then challenged Graves to a fight (not a match) in New Orleans before WrestleMania, Graves himself has not commented on the matter as of now. Audio of the discussion during Booker’s podcast can be heard below:
Recent audio from Booker T’s podcast in which he claims WWE let Booker go because of ‘fear of him breaking Corey’s neck’
He also states if he catches Corey ‘outside of WWE’ he will fight him.

One of the biggest stars (literally and figuratively) is Lars Sullivan. Sullivan has been pushed as a monster in NXT so far, so it’s no surprise to learn that WE has big plans for him. In fact, Dave Meltzer reported in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the original plan for the next NXT Takeover event had Sullivan featured in the main event. Sullivan had been set to to challenge Andrade “Cien” Almas for the NXT Championship. However, Sullivan is now reportedly dealing with a minor injury which has kept him off of recent live events. The main event for Takeover: New Orleans will now reportedly be Aleister Black vs. Almas for the championship. The show takes place in the Smoothie King Center on April 7th.
