Bengaluru’s Bellandur Lake Froths, Foam, Looks More Toxic Than Before After Mild Rain

After a night of incessant rains, froth has returned at Bellandur Lake. Apparently, Bangalore Development Authority’s (BDA) weeding work has failed to contain the problem.

Residents believe that sewage from households, containing detergent residue, is behind the froth.

The Indian Institute of Sciences and other experts back this theory. The need of the hour is to build sewage treatment plant and prevent sewage from entering the lake.
