Becky Lynch Goes After Asuka on Twitter: “I Want the Old Asuka”

The Man is at it again. Becky Lynch is once again picking a fight on Twitter and this time, it’s her Royal Rumble opponent that’s in the crosshairs.

Current SmackDown Women’s champion Asuka was minding her own business online when suddenly, Lynch decided to take some shots at her. Asuka made the mistake of responding and Lynch took her down almost immediately.

Why = cause you’re one step away from posting cat pics and this is an intervention.

What am I saying? = I will now hit you 42% harder for your reply

Am I out of my mind? = Obvs not.

Becky is fearless in the ring and she’s even more fearless on social media. The Man has taken on everyone from Ronda Rousey to Corey Graves and anyone that gets in her way usually gets mowed down.

Of course this is all being done in an effort to create heat and there’s really no one better at doing just that than Becky.  But one of Becky’s comments toward Asuka stands out from the rest. Lynch said she wants “the old Asuka.”

That statement is surely in reference to Asuka’s old character, which was a take-no-prisoners competitor. When the undefeated Empress of Tomorrow came to the main roster, she was firmly focused on the most important goal: dominance.

But the Asuka that currently wears the title is much different. She’s friendly and more approachable. This Asuka is BFF’s with Naomi and she’s become something of a caricature of herself.

Lynch however, is a competitor and if she’s going to step into the ring with Asuka, then she surely wants the Empress at her best. Feuding with the hottest star in WWE today may be exactly what Asuka needs to regain her dangerous edge.

In the meantime, she may not want to test Lynch on Twitter again. That’s a level of danger that Asuka is obviously not ready for.
