Another WWE Star Possibly Transitioning to Backstage Role Due to Injury
As noted, WWE Raw star Matt Hardy will be taking some time off to deal with lingering injuries, and speculation is that Hardy is winding down his in-ring career. WWE officials are already said to be grooming Hardy for a possible backstage role in WWE when his in-ring career officially comes to an end.

Another WWE star who might be transitioning into a backstage role in WWE is Jason Jordan, who has yet to return to the ring following neck surgery. It was expected that Jordan would be returning to the ring earlier this year following surgery, however, we noted last week that Jordan’s injury is worse than expected, so it appears as if the former Tag Team Champion will not be returning to the ring anytime soon. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports WWE has been treating Jordan similarly to Hardy in the event that Jordan cannot return to the ring and instead works backstage.
