WWE Superstar and SmackDown Live roster member Alexa Bliss recently spoke with Cleveland.com for an interview. Below are some of the highlights.
On whether or not being a former bodybuilder makes her recent cover of Muscle & Fitness Hers magazine extra special:
“It was one of those things I never really did in the bodybuilder world. I was really focused on getting my pro card. I remember when I started, my coach said, “You’re either going to be really good or really bad. How serious do you want to take this?” Once I got my pro card, I started to focus on maybe doing magazine stuff. And then the opportunity with WWE presented itself. But it was one of those things that was on my bodybuilding and WWE bucket list.”
On what it was like making her WWE debut back on July 26th:
“That was really, really cool. It got to show there are a lot of women in this division. Sometimes on Raw and SmackDown you only see two or three women in an episode. But we’re all into it and we’re going to be the leaders o this division.”
On where the idea came from to dress up like Harley Quinn at the recent WWE Backlash pay-per-view:
“I am a Harley Quinn fan. I am a big fan of characters in general. When I was in NXT, we would dress up in themes like Freddy Krueger and Iron Man. [Buddy] Murphy, who wrestles in NXT, just recently dressed up as Two-Face. And I was like, man wish I could do that stuff. I really want to do a Harley Quinn inspired outfit. So he helped me come up with it.”
