After Low Maintenance Blocked Flow, These Students Successfully Revived Dying Morpirla’s Sacred Spring

Blessed with many natural water bodies which ensure abundant water supply, villagers of Morpirla, a remote and predominantly tribal village in Quepem, have long been undertaking cultivation of two crops. The agricultural crop is grown during the monsoon season while cultivation of the horticultural crops is undertaken post the monsoon, once winter begins to set in.

However, apathy towards maintenance of these natural springs has cause hurdles, especially for those undertaking horticultural cultivation of Vaigani sheti (Rabi crop).
