Once again, ProWrestling.com had the privilege of attending an AAW Pro event, this time from LaSalle, IL, and as usual AAW did not disappoint. For those in the Chicagoland area not already attending AAW, it is well worth it. And to those in the Chicagoland area that think LaSalle is too far, the show is well worth the drive and the drinks in LaSalle are dirt cheap! Results below 🙂
AAW JAWBREAKER
AUGUST 4TH, 2018
Report By Doug Enriquez for ProWrestlng.com
HAKIM ZANE vs. DJZ
Zane continues to impress as he gets good heat, interacts with the crowd, and compliments his opponents well. DJZ is heavily over with the crowd, and fans in the crowd even have a light up DJZ sign, which DJZ holds up, much to the chagrin of Zane.
DJZ gets the early advantage, and he throws Zane out of the ring. Zane pulls the foot of DJZ, sending him crashing onto the apron. Hakim takes the opportunity to deliver a DDT onto the apron.
Back in the ring, DJZ springboards and hit Zane with a crossbody. He goes for a ZDT but Zane blocks it and hits a vicious knee to the face. He throws DJZ to the outside and DJZ is on the barricade. Zane goes charging after him but DJZ back body drops him into the crowd. He follows it up with a big splash over the barricade.
DJZ puts Zane up on the top rope and hits a hurricanrana. ZDT for the victory.
Winner in 9:11 = DJZ
ALLIE KAT vs. SCARLETT BOURDEAUX (w/ DAVEY VEGA)
Allie Kat is back in LaSalle and once again, the crowd doesn’t know how to feel about her “she thinks she’s a cat” gimmick. Allie Kat asks for belly scratches and an ear scratch from the ref, which he does to start the match. Scarlett attacks from behind. Allie kat comes back and starts meowing. She runs off the ropes and Vega grabs her by the legs. Scarlett takes the opportunity to hit her Kryptonite Krunch to pick up the victory.
Winner in 3:26 – Scarlett Bourdeaux
JAKE SOMETHING & CURT STALLION vs. SAGE CAINAN & DANTE LEON
The match lasted way too long, but Sage Cainan showed a lot of promise moving forward. Otherwise, Jake Something once again is the stand out in this match, as he can do some pretty impressive things in the ring. Spot of the match came when Cainan dove to the outside onto something, and Jake catches him. Leon came to follow up with a suicide dive himself, but Something took Cainan and lawn darted him into Leon. Pretty brutal.
Something followed that up with Black #2 for the win. This guy really needs to get some singles action AAW. He’s like 100-0.
Winners in 8:14: Jake Something & Curt Stallion
NICK BRUBAKER vs. CONNOR BRAXTON vs. JOE ACER vs. KODI RICE vs. BUCK NASTY vs. NATE WEBB vs. MIKE HARTENBOWER vs. ACE ROMERO
Winner gets a spot in the Jim Lynam Memorial Tournament
There was never any doubt as to who was going to win this match. It was fun seeing Nate Webb come out and interact with the crowd when he enters to Wheatus’ “Teenage Dirtbag”. Note for Kodi Rice on his weight loss too, guy is looking great. Notable spots below.
MJF comes out to rip on the entrance music. He also says whoever takes out Ace Romero he will give $10,000. Guy is phenomenal past where he should be at this point on the mic.Everyone goes after Ace but he fights everyone and sends them out of the ring. Brubaker and Braxton team up and knock him out of the ring.Webb does a moonsault off the top onto everyone on the outside.Romero & Rice have a dance off.Everyone dog piles Romero but he kicks out.Acer pretty impressive with a big stomp on Kodi Rice.Ace hits Joe Acer with a crazy powerbomb for the win.
Winner in 6:43 and moving on to the Jim Lynam Memorial Tournament – Ace Romero
PACO vs. STEPHEN WOLF vs. SPACE MONKEY
Before the match starts Sami Callihan and OI4K come out! Sami demands they get out of his ring but Stephen Wolf has brass balls and says he doesn’t care who they are, they can’t disrespect them. So he says they see three of them and three of us. They challenge them to a match. Sami accepts and the brawl of the century commences.
OVE vs. PACO, STEPHEN WOLF, & SPACE MONKEY
Wolf is especially impressive against OVE and shows he can hang. Sami is sick as usual and even grabs a sign and gives Stephen Wolf a card board cut. Sick. Of course, OVE is too much for the trio and wins the match. This match was incredible and woke the crowd up. Anyone that thinks that OVE isn’t “over”, think again.
Winners in 8:58: OVE
Danny Daniels comes out with security and asks OVE to leave. He says if they don’t, they’re fired. He doesn’t want to fire them, but they are forcing his hand. Sami says they’ll leave if they get what they want which is Brody King & Jimmy Jacobs. Daniels gives it to them and they leave. After the commotion, Stephen Wolf pushes down Paco.

Jessikah Havok says that she is back for a rematch. She used to respect Kimber Lee until she used the brass knuckles to win the title, and then it became personal. She says she is going to remind her why she is women’s wrestling
AAW HERITAGE CHAMPIONSHIP: TREVOR LEE (c) vs. MYRON REED
Trevor Lee comes out and cuts a heartfelt promo before the match on his father. He said he considered cancelling the show and that no matter how the fans felt about him, his dad loved him either way. He says that he’s there because Myron Reed earned his shot and he is going to do it for his dad and for himself.
The match starts and Trevor Lee turns it back on, being his heel self. Myron knocks him out of the ring and Trevor escapes through the crowd, but Myron springboards and dives to Lee into the crowd and both men go through the chairs.
Trevor comes back and takes down Myron on the outside and demands the ref counts. He does this several times, trying to win with the count out victory. Myron eventually gets back in the ring, and Trevor is very vicious to Myron, stomping away on him, growling as he takes his frustrations on “Hot Fiya”.
Overall, another great match and amazing match that had a great reversal where Trevor Lee picked up Myron and he turned it into a destroyer. Myron Reed goes for the pin, but Trevor grabs the rope. Myron goes for a 450 splash but Trevor grabs the ref to use as a shield and Myron stops. The referee stops to collect himself and Trevor Lee kicks Myron in the balls. He hits a running stomp to Myron Reed to pick up the victory.

AAW WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP: KIMBER LEE(c) vs. JESSIKAH HAVOK
Kimber Lee beat Jessikah Havok after Brody King attacked her before the match in 3:00.

MVP was pretty entertaining throughout the match and did his usually schtick such as “ballin”. MVP was super over throughout the match. MVP beat Eddie with a big boot to the face.
Winnner in 12:23: MVP
AAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP: BESTIES IN THE WORLD(c) vs LAX
Wow what a good match. LAX came in through the crowd to start the match as they made their way to the ring.
Mat Fitchett starts the ring with Ortiz and he gets the headlock but Ortiz works back. Santana gets the tag and a sick chop and then knocks Fitchett down. Fitchett comes back and hits Santana with a big brain buster. Santana comes back with a cutter and needs to make a tag. He tags in Ortiz, and the two hit multiple tandem moves, including putting on a double submission on both Besties.
Lots of great tandem moves and tag work here, very well worked by both teams. Scarlett gets involved of course, holding down Ortiz, allowing the Besties to hit their vertical hanging knee tandem move to pick up the victory.

AAW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP: ACH (c) vs JEFF COBB
ACH in some SUPER new gear(highly recommended for anime fans).
Click Here: newcastle falcons rugby jerseys
ACH starts the match by trying to overpower Cobb, but he can’t move Cobb. ACH repeatedly chops Cobb but Cobb comes back with a couple of suplexes. The crowd chants Suplex Island to Cobb.
ACH is in trouble, and Cobb works on the midsection of the champ. Cobb throws ACH around the ring like a ragdoll, and this one is hard to watch. Cobb mocks ACH as he continues to be in control.
ACH finally comes back with a dropkick to the leg and then tries for a crossbody, but Cobb catches him and turns that into a Tour of the Islands attempt but ACH counters with a crucifix pin. Both men get up and Cobb hits a huge clothesline on the champ.
Cobb puts ACH on the top rope and looks to put a hurting on ACH, but ACH turns it into a sunset flip powerbomb so big it shook the building. ACH knows he needs more though, so he follows it up with his patented frog splash.
Match ends with ACH hitting his big brain buster on Cobb, impressively lifting the big man in the air and crashing down to the mat.
Winner in 18:25 AND STILL AAW HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION: Suuuuuper ACH
After the match ACH grabs the mic and says he has issues with WRSTLING and he wants to make the AAW championship the most prestigious championship in the world. He says he’s already beaten 2 of the WRSTLING members, and now he has two to go.
