On Monday Night Raw this past week, a segment ended with Intercontinental Champion The Miz revealing a new group of friends that he has. A few weeks back, Raw superstars Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas turned down an invitation to team up with The Miz, however, plans have changed. The duo will be part of the champion’s “entourage” going forward. The segment saw The Miz try to apologize to Maryse by repairing a clock, which ultimately ended up being destroyed again by the end of the segment. Throughout the segment, two men dressed as bears were lurking in the background, and they turned out to be Axel and Dallas.
The Wrestling Observer notes that they will be part of a new faction with The Miz for the time being. Interestingly, it looks like Maryse may not be teaming up with her husband for the time being. It is unclear if WWE intends to permanently keep Maryse and The Miz apart on television now. If she does continue working with her husband, it looks like Maryse may not have much of an emphasis put on her. The new stable was formed after a weeks-long storyline that saw The Miz unable to find anybody willing to help him take on Dean Ambrose. Despite refusing earlier in the show, both Dallas and Axel are now going to be teaming up with The Miz after all for one particular reason.
The Observer also stated that WWE did not want to have Maryse and The Miz work together anymore due to the recent introduction of Maria & Mike Kanellis. The company is portraying The Kanellis’ as two individuals who are deeply in love and obsessed with each other. WWE did not want to have a power couple on one show and another similar power couple on the other show. This is the reason why the new stable has been created. No word on what Maryse may be doing next, but she may just end up working as a background player in the new faction that is being led by The Miz. Hopefully, the two “A-Listers” can work things out and continue working together very soon.
