It was previously reported that The Rock may be interested in not only appearing at WrestleMania 35 next year, but perhaps even wrestling a match. Dave Meltzer shed more light into this report on a recent edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio Program by confirming that this is true and essentially it comes down to The Rock’s movie projects. If he is filming a movie close to The PPV or shortly thereafter, then it will make any sort of participation difficult but if his schedule is open, then there is a very good chance he’ll be getting into the ring
Meltzer added that if it comes down to a movie or wrestling, The Rock will pick the movie because he could make $20 million on the movie whereas for a WrestleMania Match, Vince McMahon might offer him anywhere between $2 to $4 million for that one appearance. Either way, WWE would gladly book him into a match not only because he is The Rock, but because he is a huge worldwide star, especially in China – a market that the company is trying to aggressively break into. The other considering factor is that The Rock is nearing 50 years of age and if he wants to wrestle one more match, he will likely want to do it before his physical condition begins to deteriorate.
