Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is generally beloved by millions of people all across the world, and he tends to keep his opinions to himself. Perhaps this is why he garnered a ton of attention yesterday after some alleged comments that he made during an interview came to light. It was reported that Johnson took part in an in interview with the Daily Star over in the United Kingdom when he mentioned that younger people today are offended easily. The former WWE Champion even went as far as to label these people “Generation Snowflake.” Several outlets ran with the story and made it seem as if Johnson’s comments were legitimate, however, the man himself denies ever speaking out about his personal beliefs.
After receiving backlash from fans online for his comments, The Rock took to Instagram on Friday night to explain himself. According to Johnson, the entire interview was a fabrication and he never said any of the comments that he was alleged to have made. Johnson said that he prefers not to call out those who he has issues with, but instead prefers to have a discussion and understand their point of view. As far as the interview goes, The Rock says that it never took place and that it was “100% false.” Dwayne Johnson is constantly working on huge film and television projects. There have been reports claiming that he may be at WrestleMania 35 or inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year, but those are still rumors at this point.
Settin’ the record straight. The interview never happened. Never said those words. 100% false. If I ever had an issue with someone, a group, community or a generation — I’d seek them out, create dialogue and do my best to understand them. Criticizing ain’t my style. I don’t cast stones and we all get to be who we are. #millies #plurals #boomers #TequilaGeneration ??????

Impact Wrestling is set to bring in Melissa Santos for a new role in the promotion very soon. Santos has been praised for her work as an announcer in Lucha Underground, and she is just the latest LU star to join Impact. Pentagon, Fenix, Johnny Impact, and Santos’ fiancée, Brian Cage, are also working for the promotion now. Santos has confirmed that she will be filling in the role of backstage interviewer when she starts out with Impact Wrestling. Santos’ hiring comes right after former interviewer, McKenzie Mitchell, parted ways with Impact earlier this week. PWInsider says that her work began during last night’s TV tapings, so expect to see Santos appear on Impact Wrestling regularly starting within the next few weeks.
