The Stanley Cup is breaking Carrie Underwood

No one is more frustrated with the referees in the Stanley Cup Finals than Carrie Underwood.

Underwood, who is married to Nashville Predators captain Mike Fisher, went on an anguished Twitter spree Wednesday night protesting the officiating in her team’s crucial Game 2 loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The 34-year-old country star first tweeted her dismay — “How was that not a penalty?!” — in the second period, then snapped two minutes later when Predators winger Cody McLeod was penalized for high-sticking Penguins defenseman Ian Cole, according to For the Win.

Fisher had taken an interference penalty in the first period during a 5-on-3 Predators power play.

“Just told my manager that she might have to lock me out of my own twitter #PredsPride #IJustLoveMyHusband,” Underwood wrote.

Even NBC analyst Mike Milbury described the refereeing as “putrid” at one point as the 4-1 Penguins win was marred by a number of uneven calls on both sides.

The Predators face a 2-0 series deficit as they return to play in front of Underwood and the rest of the raucous hometown crowd in Game 3 on Saturday evening.
