Pirelli has announced that a member of its staff who had traveled to Australia has tested positive for the coronavirus and remained in Melbourne.
The Formula 1 paddock had its COVID-19 ‘patient zero’ last week, a member of the McLaren team that tested positive for the disease and was put into quarantine.
The Woking-based outfit also isolated in Melbourne 14 other team members as a measure of precaution.

“A member of the Pirelli F1 team has yesterday tested positive for COVID-19 in Melbourne,” the Italian company said in a statement released on Monday.
“The person concerned is now following all the relevant procedures put in place by the Australian health authorities.
