On September 14, a sanitation worker who worked as a manual scavenger died due to asphyxiation.Following his sad demise, a photo showing a small child crying behind the deceased identified as Anil went viral on social media. It was later revealed that the child was Anil’s son and the family didn’t even have enough funds to cremate the worker.
After seeing the heart-wrenching photo on social media, the netizens extended their support to the family and an online crowdfunding website, Ketto raised around Rs 50 lakh for the anguished family.
