The Brumbies are the only Australian team in the Super Rugby finals and they were the only ones who walked away with a round 18 win.
Who stood up for the Aussie sides in round 18?

1. Scott Sio
The Brumbies front row has been dominant all year and Sio has been a big part of that. Was super impressive going up against Reds rising star Taniela Tupou on Saturday night and had a 100th game to remember.
2. Folau Fainga’a
Fainga’a is in career-best form in 2019 and he had another strong match against the Reds last weekend. The Brumbies continue to build their attack from set piece and he is a key part of that approach.
3. Allan Alaalatoa
Alaalatoa is in a similar box to his two front row mates, delivering strong performances each and every week. There is little doubt that he is the in-form tighthead in Australian Super Rugby this season and he was critical in the Brumbies’ dominance in the pack last weekend.
4. Rory Arnold
Arnold is going to make Wallabies selections a little bit tougher, taking his game to another level this year. Used his brute strength to score a pivotal try for the Brumbies against the Reds and was effective across the park. Could do far worse than having him in the national lineup come World Cup time.
5. Sam Carter
Carter has gone under the radar in a consistent Brumbies outfit this season but his own consistency is exactly what has made him so valuable for the ACT side. He an Arnold have been a damaging combination and helped lay the platform against Queensland.
6. Angus Scott-Young
Queensland’s emerging backrow is one of the most exciting crops in Australian rugby and Scott-Young proved himself as a player with huge potential again last weekend. Scott-Young was physical in defence and put in a tireless shift in Canberra, finishing with 13 tackles for his efforts.
7. Jahrome Brown
Brown has been one of the recruits of the season, going from short-term injury cover to a two-year contract, and he was monstrous against Queensland last weekend. Finished with 15 tackles and a turnover and was a pest all night for the Reds.
8. Isi Naisarani
It was a tough night for the Rebels last Friday but Naisarani stood up in the clash. The no.8 had an incredible 17 carries for 75 metres in the clash and made 13 tackles.
9. Joe Powell
After a slow start to the year, Powell has really hit his straps in recent weeks and his service was critical for the Brumbies on Saturday night. Scrums were messy at times and he handled the situation well. Not hurting his Test chances.
10. Christian Lealiifano
Lealiifano will be sorely missed when he heads to Japan next year and he put in another super performance, steering the Brumbies’ attack. Had a hand in multiple tries and controlled the game well. Has shown some of his best rugby this season and continued to do that on Saturday night.
11. Tom Wright
Wright showed his pace with a runaway try for the Brumbies on Saturday night and the back was heavily involved throughout the night. Was picked on the wing with Toni Pulu rotated out of the team and showed his versatility in the spot.
12. Irae Simone
Simone has flourished in a Brumbies jumper and he put in another strong shift on Saturday night. Was particularly effective in defence, with 13 tackles for the night.
13. Tevita Kuridrani
Kuridrani outplayed his Wallabies competition in the midfield on Saturday night and had some handy involvements. Helped set up a try and was dangerous when he had the ball. Building the right kind of form at the right end of the year.
14. Jock Campbell
Campbell has handled the step up into Super Rugby well this season and his performance in Canberra was another good one. Had nine carries for 73 metres and helped create a try for the Reds.
15. Tom Banks
Banks was immense for the Brumbies on a weekend where other Test fullback contenders failed to hit their straps. Ran for 140 metres off 15 carries and looked electric with ball in hand.
