Shanghai SIPG join Tianjin Quanjian in the hunt for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang

Shanghai SIPG have joined fellow Chinese side Tianjin Quanjian in the race for Borussia Dortmund attacker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, according to France Football.

The Gabon international has received a €50m a year net salary offer from Tianjin Quanjian, managed by Fabio Cannavaro. This very club is reportedly willing to offer Dortmund €80m to secure the signing of “PEA,” but Shanghai SIPG have also entered the mix. Some offers are too good to turn down, would Aubameyang, at the age of 27, do so?

AC Milan also want to bring PEA back to Italy, but they would have to pay €70m to Dortmund and offer more than €12m a year as a salary – which seems beyond their means.

In England, Manchester City lead the race – their interest is not new. Last year, the transfer blew up. Guardiola remains interested, like he is in terms of Mbappé… but all will depend on the future of Sergio Agüero.

PSG is a much less likely option since the contract extension of Edions Cavani.

In Spain, Real Madrid is PEA’s dream, but they are not biting and seem unlikely to all summer.
