Gianluca di Marzio reports that Ligue 1 side Marseille have made a new €12m bid to Serie A outfit Fiorentina to sign 23-year-old Spanish full-back Pol Lirola.
The player spent part of last season on loan with OM and manager Jorge Sampaoli is very insistent on having the full-back permanently.
President Longoria is making the necessary moves to try to achieve this goal – the player wants OM, wants to leave Fiorentina, and has already agreed personal terms.
If a deal were to transpire, Lirola would be OM’s 9th summer transfer window signing following the arrivals of: Gerson, Leonardo Balerdi, Cengiz Under, Pau Lopez, William Saliba, Luan Peres, Matteo Guendouzi and Konrad de la Fuente.
