Stade Brestois have announced the loan signing with a purchase option of Stade de Reims’ left-back Bradley Locko (20). The Brittany outfit were in the market for a left-back after sanctioning a loan move for Finnish player Jere Uronen to Bundesliga bottom-placed outfit Schalke. Brest and Marseille were in talks over the termination of Amaviโs loan to Getafe, with the Brittany outfit keen to acquire the OM loanee. But the deal fell through because Getafe boss Quique Sanchez Flores wanted to retain the French international left-back.

Brest turned their attention to young French Reims’ left-back Bradley Locko and quickly agreed personal terms with the Ivry-sur-Seine-born player. Locko debuted the season as a starter with Reims but the arrival of Anglo-Belgian manager Will Still saw his game time dwindling with the unbeaten head coach relying mostly on Thibault De Smet to defend Reims’ left flank. Locko has already trained with his new teammates and will wear the #28 jersey with the Eric Roy-led side. Brest will travel away at Lyon this Wednesday.
