WWE shocked the wrestling world when it announced Ronda Rousey’s first Raw Women’s Championship match against Nia Jax at the upcoming WWE Money In The Bank event and it has been met with differing opinions, with some fans believing it would be great to see her dominate the division like Brock Lesnar, whilst others think it is far too soon.
Even though she put on an incredible performance at WrestleMania 34, Rousey has never had a singles wrestling match, which means this will be an amazing learning curve for her and to do it with the championship on the line is certainly a risk by WWE.
However, there can be no denying that the former UFC star has more star power than anybody in the women’s division on either Smackdown or Raw and having her as champion would only gain more mainstream attention.
