WWE Announces “Demon” Finn Balor & Intercontinental Title Match For Saudi Arabia

WWE has officially announced that Finn Balor will not only be defending his Intercontinental Championship in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia next month, but he will be bringing the “Demon” persona with him.

Balor will be facing off against Andrade in what should be an excellent one-on-one contest. The two faced off in April on both Raw and Smackdown following the Superstar Shakeup, but this will be the first major singles match between the two on a pay-per-view level show.

An interesting note, the two actually competed against one another way back in the 2010 NJPW Best of the Super Juniors tournament, where Balor was working under the name Prince Devitt, and Anrade was of course still known as the masked luchador, La Sombra.

Previously confirmed for Saudi Arabia is the return of Goldberg, who will be competing against The Undertaker, of all people. Triple H and Randy Orton will also be renewing their classic rivalry for some reason, and while unconfirmed, it’s been reported that Seth Rollins will defend the Universal title against Brock Lesnar in a rematch from WrestleMania.

WWE Super Showdown takes place on Friday, June 7th and will be broadcast live on the WWE Network. At this time, no public executions of framed, innocent citizens are scheduled for the show, but we’ll keep you posted.
