81% of French people approve of Karim Benzema’s EURO 2016 absence

According to a RTL/Odoxa poll, 81% of French people approve of the French Football Federation’s decision to bar Karim Benzema from EURO 2016.

The poll also showed that 86% of people feel that the Real Madrid man’s reputation has been tarnished due to his alleged involvement in the blackmail of Mathieu Valbuena.

77% believe that the French Football Federation acted in order to preserve the good atmosphere in the French national team.

When asked about who should make the squad, 68% of individuals who qualified themselves as football amateurs announced that they thought Alexandre Lacazette would make the squad. Hatem Ben Arfa received 59% from the same group under the same criteria.

75% of football amateurs were opposed to any possible return of Franck Ribéry in the French national team.
